Why dentistry
Dr. Kim truly enjoys getting to know her patients: their lives, interests and experiences, and seeing their families grow and change over the years.
Growing up she loved working with her hands. Combine that creativity with a love of science, a strong interest in healthcare and a need to help others, and dentistry was, and is, the ideal fit.
Education
- Undergraduate: Kearney State College
- Doctor of Dental Surgery: University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry
Each year she completes many hours of continuing education, including Invisalign orthodontic aligners and CEREC one-day restorations. She has completed the Pankey Institute curriculum, is a past member of the Seattle Study Club, and studies through the Dawson Academy and Spear Education.
Beyond the practice
Dr. Kim grew up in rural Nebraska and has lived in Kearney with Mark and their family since 1991. They enjoy the outdoors, working out, cooking together and traveling, and they are mission minded: they have provided dental care from Africa to Romania, Brazil and Guatemala.
She has been active in women's Bible studies, and has taught as a part-time clinical faculty member at the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry.
